Mendelssohn’s
St. Paul Oratorio
This dramatic oratorio about the life and mission
of St. Paul has
it all – martyrdom, persecution, enlightenment, conversion and faith – set to
glorious music which clearly expresses the changing moods of each
movement. Our special guest artists - organist, John Wells,
soprano Julia Booth, tenors Derek Hill and Charles Sorensson
and baritone David
Griffiths – will sing the narrative and solos, while the choir takes on the
role of the observing crowds in some magnificent chorales.
